Thomas Weski is one of the most important and prominent curators and writers of photography in Germany. At present he is the director/curator of the Michael Schmidt Archive and has curated the exhibition, Michael Schmidt Retrospective at the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum for Gegenwart in Berlin in 2020. He has been curator in the Photography and Media Section in the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, and held the post of the head curator in Ludwig Museum in Cologne as well as head curator, and subsequently deputy director at the Haus der Kunst in Munich.
