Rut Blees Luxemburg is a German photographer based in London. Her technique is to photograph at night, exploring the urban landscape. She studied at the London College of Communication and went on to gain an MA at the University of Westminster in 1996. She has made numerous photobooks including London: A Modern Project published in 2001, a nocturnal study of the East End of London, using the artificial lights of the city to illuminate the streets and buildings. She is a lecturer at the Royal College of Art.
