American, born in Tel Aviv and currently living in Berlin. Ackerman is a deeply subjective photographer. His pictures are documents from his travels yet express a reflection of his personal malaise, uncertainties and existential realities. He received the Nadar Award for his book, End Time City in 1999. His book, Half Life, was published in 2010 by Robert Delpire, and Epilogue was published by VOID in 2019. Ackerman conducted the first Berlin Foto Kiez workshop in Berlin during 2016.
