Photography as Reconstruction is an intimate workshop designed to help photographers and visual artists reconnect with their creative practice, develop a clearer artistic vision, and build the confidence to pursue work that feels deeply personal and authentic.
Over the course of the weekend, participants will take part in an in-depth portfolio review, constructive group critiques, individual mentorship sessions, and conversations around concept development, sequencing, editing, and building long-term photographic projects. We’ll explore not only how images are made, but why we make them, examining photography as a tool for memory, identity, reconstruction, and personal inquiry.
The workshop will also address the realities of sustaining a creative practice, including navigating self-doubt, developing a consistent body of work, approaching exhibitions and publications, and finding meaningful ways to share your work with others.
